It’s my favorite Corvette, and I know it’s an L88, but this is just plain stupid.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I’d rather have all of the below and pocket $350,000-$400,000 in cash.

I’m sorry, but no GM product will ever be worth that amount of money in my book.

M22 Rock Crusher 4-speed
4.56 Positraction rear end
okay, so it was a stoplight warrior.
In the spring of 1969 the original owner embarked upon a 6,000 miles round trip to Alaska
crazy bastard. that had to be miserable. No wonder he sold it immediately upon returning. That and he had to pay for all the gas.

Hemi Mopars were going for more a few years back. A true L88 car? It’ll get it.
Rich folk like swinging their d—k around.

Imagine how it smelled! I’d love to see pics of it in Ak.

Yeah, but numbers matching means very little to me. Also, that’s a numbers matching Hemi Coronet for soooo much less.

You have good taste
I really like this 550

I’d prefer a newer 911

Thanks, I like to think I do.
550's are practically a steal right now, it’s a Ferrari V12 with a gated 6-speed, they’ll only increase in value. I almost threw it in my list, but I was trying to keep the cars around $75k each.
If the GT3 RS wasn’t pumpkin liveried I’d like it more.

I’m not arguing. The Hemi craze passed but a few changed hands in the 7 figure range before things cooled off.
I made a post about “Caroll Shelby’s” GLHS being valued at $40,000-$60,000 at auction recently. And, again. Just a bunch of D—k swinging. The car may have been worth $20,000 tops.
“Numbers matching” and “Original Glass” mean squat to me. If it’s actually special it’s worth it’s ask.

Yeah, the classic car market goes through phases, there’s also a 454 SS Chevelle conv. going for $250k. I just don’t get the draw.
There’s a near perfect Yenko 427 clone here locally for $52k. I would rather have it than anything above.

I agree. You’re always going to have a hell of a lot more fun with a car you’re not worried about driving.

You could buy 7-8 Hellcats for that kinda money. You could buy several 488 GTBs for that money. Hell, you could buy a goddamn fighter jet that will go Mach 3+ for that money.

Yeah, numbers matching is really dumb. If you have to explain and prove in front of a committee of experts exactly why your car is valuable, it’s not really that valuable.

Okay, this probably doesn’t hit Mach 1, but LOOK AT THIS THING. And then take a look at that price!

I literally have that open in another tab, there’s another one for $135k. I’m genuinely curious as to what the operating costs are, because that price is unbelievable.

You say no Bman, but theres some person that says yes and goes home with a Stingray Corvette.
(For the record though, I didn’t know they only made 116 of that model. geez chevrolet were times that hard then?)

To be fair, the Stingray is my favorite corvette. And i I owned one it’d get a 427 and an L88 hood. I’m just not gonna pay $750k when a clean small-block car is $25-60k.
